Caserma Perotti
The main objective of this proposal combines the ambitions of the client for the new offices and archives for the Agenzia delle Entrate and the needs of the surrounding neighborhood, as an inclusive project within an innovative housing complex.
The schema of the design allows for the interaction of the two areas, that of the offices and residences through the development of a branched settlement model capable of conveying an original urban form. The other objective is to activate a dialog with the various essences of the surrounding urban environment.
The urban residential building proposes an inversion of the concept of the caserma, barracks. The built typology in a "U" form is thus fragmented and diversified into smaller elements, bringing back the human scale to the area, and thus avoiding the formation of a single, enormous architectural volume. The typologies studied recall the materials and colors that characterize the Mazzini neighborhood in the Fossolo area, and within the city of Bologna.
Where residences open on to the public park, small piazzas are created, inner courtyards that characterize the system of the lot that cradles housing units, addressing livable needs or that of the urban gardens and of phytoremediation. The pedestrian paths cross the site from east to west to connect the residential courtyards with the public park.
