Giardino di Via Saliceto
The new Garden of Via Saliceto is developed along the centrality of the existing fruit tree, a monument to memory, currently wrapped by continuous seating and emphasized by the curvilinear path that runs from north to south.

The regeneration project maintains the centrality of the tree and celebrates it, embracing it with continuous seating and tables. As shelter and protection, a tree-lined row was considered to accompany the monument along the existing path, which widens in correspondence with the new seating.
Two new central poles are added to the existing: the semi basketball court area and workout area, with equipment suitable for users of all ages, obtained in “craters” inside two circular reliefs, the results of moving excavated soil for the construction of these two areas.
The craters embrace and protect the basketball and workout areas and form a small grandstand. The aesthetic language researched for the construction of paved basketball court, dialogues with the mural by Peter Schuyff dedicated to Giorgio Morandi, on the overlooking façade of the new building on Via Saliceto.
The landscape project was developed according to three main principles: the creation of a vertical green wall capable of screening the parking lot to the west, shading the existing main path and central relaxation area, and the planting of large trees to make the park immediately more livable.
