Manifattura Bulgari
Bulgari inaugurates the new jewelry Manufactory after 18 months of construction in the historical Goldsmith district of Valenza. It consists of two buildings, each distinct in architectural character that together create an ideal bridge between innovation and tradition.
The spirit connected to the cradle of traditional Italian goldsmiths is expressed in the enhancement of the existing building, the Cascina dell'Orefice. Built in 1860 and considered the first goldsmith laboratory of Valenza, the building is historically and symbolically significant.
The historical building has been rebuilt and expanded, with a new glass structure, a modern interpretation that evokes the silhouette of the original Casina. The building represents both the great historical identity of the space and the unmistakable vision of Maison Bulgari, that stems from restoring tradition to face the future ahead with motivation.
The second building houses the Manifattura, the workshop, wrapped completely in a metallic skin, the synthesis of aesthetics and functionality, guaranteeing full access of natural light, and no visual barriers to the surrounding nature but at the same time an adequate level of privacy and safety, as well as aesthetic harmony of the structure.
By combining aesthetics and efficiency, the building overcomes the architectural challenge of integrating high-tech production capacity with a design that is aligned with the brand’s stylistic values. The preciousness and elegance of the brand are reflected in the attention to detail of the interior architectural design.
